Elizabeth Kaufman, PA-C
Elizabeth Kaufman, known as Beth, is a dedicated and compassionate Certified Physician Assistant who joined our practice in July 2021. She works closely with Dr. Rahman Nakshabendi, gaining hands-on training and expertise in gastroenterology and advanced endoscopic procedures. Beth is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and is passionate about helping patients manage their gastrointestinal health.
Beth earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Sciences from Florida State University, where she developed a strong foundation in the sciences. Her passion for medicine grew while working as an Emergency Room Technician at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, where she gained valuable experience in acute patient care, including EKGs, IV insertions, and emergency protocols. This experience inspired her to pursue a career in medicine, leading her to complete her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at South University in Tampa, Florida.
During her clinical rotations, Beth gained diverse experience across multiple specialties, including gastroenterology, family medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, and women’s health. Her training in gastroenterology at Florida Digestive Health Specialists in Sarasota, Florida, solidified her interest in the field and prepared her to excel in her role at our practice.
Beth is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and holds certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). She is passionate about continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in gastroenterology to provide the best possible care for her patients.
Outside of work, Beth enjoys cooking, running, and spending time with her goldendoodle, Buddy. Her warm and approachable demeanor, combined with her clinical expertise, makes her a valued member of our team and a trusted provider for our patients.
