Tessa Garst, PA-C

Tessa Garst, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant at Florida Advanced Gastroenterology Center, where she provides evaluation and follow-up care for patients with gastrointestinal conditions.

Tessa earned her Bachelor of Science in Applied Nutrition from North Carolina State University. Before becoming a Physician Assistant, she gained hands-on healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant in family medicine and as a Certified Nursing Assistant at UNC Rex Hospital.

She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from South College in Knoxville, Tennessee, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2024. During her clinical training, Tessa gained experience across a variety of specialties, including internal medicine, emergency medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, women's health, dermatology and psychiatry. Her general surgery training included experience working with a gastrointestinal surgeon, further developing her interest in digestive health.

Tessa is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and maintains Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. She is also a member of Pi Alpha, the national honor society for Physician Assistants.

Outside of medicine, Tessa enjoys running, trying new workout classes and spending time with friends and family.
